37 Weeks

Saturday we will hit the big 37...when Baby E will be considered full-term no matter when she comes. Of course, the longer she cooks, the better!:)
Today was our 37 week appointment. My blood pressure was a little high, so the good doctor sent us to the hospital for a Non-Stress Test (which is now going to be a twice-a-week occurrence!). My BP was crazy the first couple hours at the hospital, and Baby's heart rate was too high...so they poked me with an IV and decided they'd keep me overnight to do a 24 hour urine collection.
After awhile the doctor decided that maybe 12 hours would suffice. THEN they decided - 6 hours later - that I was just super dehydrated. They pumped me full of liquids and sent me on my way. Thank heavens for not having to spend the night in the hospital!
Hopefully my next NST will be a little less eventful.

Halloween

The plan was for Annie to be a pumpkin for Halloween this year. We got her all dressed up to take pictures to send to Grandma, but that's as far as her cute costume got! Mom and Dad ended up at the hospital on Saturday afternoon to check on Baby E and make sure Mom was okay. Good news....Baby E is doing good. Bad news....Who knows whats wrong with Mom?:)

Annie missed Trunk-or-Treat and the Halloween Carnival at the church, but she did get to prance around in her costume at Grandpa's house, and that was enough for her.

Numbers

Annie has been learning her numbers! Okay, she's just mimicking whatever we say, but still, its cute and we think she's a GENIUS!:)

Grass

We finally bit the bullet and paid someone to come take out ALL our weeds. There were some that were over 5 foot tall. That was on September 16. The next day Kris planted Rye grass in our backyard in hopes of maybe growing some winter grass for Annie to play in.

Color Me Blue

Annie got hold of Grandpa's blue pen this morning. I couldn't get her to turn her head...but she has pen all down the side of her neck, and then across her cheek! She did color a very pretty picture, though.:)

Tucson

I'm so behind on my blogging! Last month we went to Tucson for a night, just to get out of town to go swimming and do some Christmas shopping (that's right...Christmas! That's what happens when your baby is due the week of Thanksgiving!). We got a room at the Sheraton on Priceline for cheap, and then got to upgrade to a suite when we got there for only $15! The first thing we did...SWIMMING!!



Annie hates her floaties, so we tried a fish innertube...and she was in heaven!

We had dinner that night with my friend Sara, and then dessert at Sami & Nohl's house. Sami has two little girls that Annie just loved (maybe I'll get pictures one of these days!). The next day was shopping and then we came home. It was a fun little trip...I think we need another one SOON!:)

Look Who's 18 Months!

Annie had her 18 month appointment last week. She is now weighing in at 26 1/2 lbs. (75th percentile) and 33 in. long (90th percentile). Only 2 more inches till she can ride the Matterhorn at Disneyland (she's still a ways off for Splash Mountain & Space Mountain, though).

Annie seems to have grown up overnight! She loves to talk and tell lots of stories, but her favorite thing is probably to scold us. She furrows her eyebrows and can really let you have it if you've done something that doesn't make her happy!:) She says a lot of things in full sentences now (Where is it?, Let me down, Here you go...), and says new words every day. She is also learning her animal sounds, which is so much fun when we see a dog on our walk, or the cat at Grandpa's house.

We've had to rock Annie to sleep since she was tiny. It was fun at first, cause you got this little bit of snuggle time with her, but the bigger she got...geez! Then one night I asked her if she was ready for bed and she just said, "Yep," and headed straight for her bedroom. Ever since then, she will tell you when she's ready for bed or a nap, then she'll pick up her baby and wait for you at her bedroom door.

And...we are officially pacifier free!

We started taking Annie to Nursery at 17 months...she was just too active to sit through the grown-up classes anymore! She LOVES Nursery!! She plays good with the other kids, but we are working on the whole concept of sharing. Apparently, Annie is a snack stealer.

One of Annie's favorite things to do is help me with the laundry. Assuming that "help" means she drags the clothes and hangers all over the living room. Thankfully she's also learned how to pick things up! She's a great helper!



Someday she'll get the fork and spoon deal. We're working on it.:)



Annie also loves bath time. She has "quacks" that she plays with...she lines them up on the side of the bathtub. I'm SO glad I didn't have to teach her about getting her ducks in a row!:)
