I just read the best quotes from Pres. Hinckley and his wife, and wanted to share them. Okay, truthfully, I didn't have anywhere to write them down and thought this was as good a place as any!:)
“You have always given me wings to fly, and I have loved you for it.”
Marjorie Pay Hinckley.
"Yes, let her fly! Let her develop her own talents. Let her do things her way. Get out of her way, and marvel at what she does."
Gordon B. Hinckley

Annie's 1st Birthday
The doctor confirmed it...we survived a year with a baby! I knew we could do it! Annie celebrated her first birthday this week. I took the day off work so we could go to the doctor and then play all day. Annie is weighing in at 22 lbs. 13 oz. and is 30 1/2 in. tall. She's in the 75th percentile for her weight and the 90th percentile for her height. She'll tower over all the kids in nursery when she starts going this summer!
For her birthday, Annie got some new clothes, books and toys. Her favorites so far have been the bath mitts Grandma Karryn sent to her. She's hauled them all over the house in her mouth, in her fist and under her arm. She also got a balloon from Grandma Vesta that is just the bane of her existence! She loves the ribbon, but yells at the balloon. And if the balloon comes near her...she screams!
Annie's got crawling down to a T! She's so fast, sometimes I'm surprised I can catch her! She is cruising all over the furniture, and stands up at the walls and doors (especially if she's been shut out!). She laughs at lots of different things: her glowworm, Dad, being tickled on her belly, Bobo, being forward-facing in her carseat. She says "Mama," "Dad" and "Baby." Sometimes if you catch her in the right mood, she'll even say "Don't." She's working on lots of different consonants and one of these days will probably just start saying all kinds of words!
To celebrate, we had cake and ice cream at our house, with Grandpa.

We did a little photo shoot at Craig & Bethany's house when we were there a couple weeks ago. These are some of my favorites.
